Welcome to the New Prospect Baptist Church website. We are located in Jasper, Alabama and whether you stumbled across our site or searched us out, we are glad you are here. Take a minute to look around and discover some of the things God is doing.

Whether you are visiting us for the first time or you are a member of our family of faith, we hope that you have discovered that we are one of the friendlest churches in Walker County. You will notice that we often refer to ourselves as family.  This idea comes from our heartfelt belief that, as Christians, we are all members of the family of faith at New Prospect.  Family is important to us.

You will discover that we not only wish to strengthen families, we wish to be family friendly.  So we hope you will take a moment and look at our family.  As in most families, we always have room for one more person in our home.  So whether it’s “Welcome to the Family of God,’ or “Welcome to our Family of Faith,”  We hope you can find a home with us!

The church has experienced an expansion of its influence.  There have been three sanctuaries and an addition to the third sanctuary, which is known as “Anthony Hall.”  The church has purchased 45 acres of land adjacent to its present location and has built  a Christian Life Center, which will be the first building of the new campus of New Prospect.  Through the years, thousands of people in Walker County have been touched by the faith of New Prospect.  From this family of faith, God has called pastors, teachers, evangelists, missionaries and many other Christian workers.  The church continues to train and prepare the next generation of Christian leaders.

Although the church has a strong heritage, it is our future that fills us with much hope.  Until the day that Christ returns, we hope to be found to be faithfully working for the Kingdom of God.
